I want to recommend the documentary "Ponciana Sunrise" by filmaker Chuck Gomez to anyone who can find a way to see it. It tells the story of the only woman in the now well-know group of 25 black artists from south Florida known as the Highwaymen. Her name is Mary Ann Carroll. This woman is a fine example of hard work, creativity, patience, sensitivity, surrender and personality. This film made me aware of The Highwaymen, Florida Art and gave me a peek into the humor and dignity of these people and some history of the history of the land of Florida. Most of all, Mary Ann Carroll.
